I. APPLICATION TECHNIQUE
Set material and air pressure to match approved spray out, apply a tack coat to facilitate application. Maintain uniform distance of 18" to 24" between the gun and surface. Aim spray gun directly at surface (spraying at an angle will distort pattern). Spray overlapping each stroke by 50% and crosshatch the same area with vertical strokes to eliminate any lap marks and to achieve full-coat coverage.

II. NOTE: Application must be full-coat coverage. With tinted Colorspec it is more difficult to perceive full-coat coverage.

If Colorspec is not properly applied with full-coat coverage, the following will occur:

• Uneven appearance

• Picture framing

• Lap marks

• Unsatisfactory touchup

• Compromised film properties

Always evaluate color, pattern, and paint delivery rate on mock-up test area while using specific batch of paint with equipment selected for project, and be certain mock-up meets with the approval of specifier prior to beginning project. Color standards and film properties can only be attained when application is full-coat coverage. Follow equipment manufacturer's instructions for use and maintenance of equipment. Observe all warning statements relating to both paint and equipments.

• Avoid application during periods of high humidity and/or when temperature of paint surface or air is below 60º F or above 100ºF Remove all filters and strainers from spray equipment

• Do not use pressure pot agitator, siphon-type or gravity feed guns or airless spray equipment

• Use paint with same batch number for specific job. There may be slight differences between batches

III. Final finish may vary from standard due to variations in paint, spray equipment, pressure settings, technique and substrate.

IV. Other spray equipment may be used. Please contact equipment manufacturer for details.

NOTE: Length and diameter of hoses will affect pressure required.
